About The Bucharest Hackathon

Welcome to the second edition of The Bucharest Hackathon, a dynamic weekend-long event where like minded programmers from Romania and the region gather to work on groundbreaking software projects and solve tomorrow's coding challenges using the latest, most cutting-edge technologies available.

This year we're going all in on bridging the gap between the digital realm and the real world via blockchain, AI and devtools. We bring the resources, the fuel, the mentors and support you need to learn new skills and build a unique product. Have fun with friends, and make new ones, while experimenting with new-age technologies!

And that's not all! You will also get the chance to meet and have a chat with our partners, who are leading the push for new and inspiring technologies.

Join us to build amazing projects! Your task is to imagine a future iteration of our tech world and write history one line of code at a time. Are you up to the challenge?

Whether you already know your way around blockchain, AI, devtools or you're just starting, grab a seat, the event is open to all tech enthusiasts!

The Bucharest Hackathon requires physical attendance and you will be able to participate in teams of 2 to 4 members. If you already have a team, you can enroll here or enroll on your own and we'll find worthy teammates for you. The registration is free, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose! The first-place team will receive $5,000, the second-place will receive $3,000, and the third-place will receive $2,000.

Programmers, builders, experienced developers, gamechangers. All participants must be at least 18 years old to register for the hackathon.

The team size is restricted to a minimum of 2 individuals and a maximum of 4 individuals.

Everyone on the team must fill out the registration form with the same team name

Any software or hardware project you want within the categories: Blockchain, AI and DevTools!
Moreover, we encourage you to find and implement a solution for a civic problem.

Projects that are eligible for winning prizes must have original code. While building on existing frameworks is permitted, only your unique contributions will be evaluated.

Yes, you should push your code to a public repository. You will retain complete ownership of the code, but the juries should have access to review your work.

We'll have mentors available to help you out. Go look for them whenever you need!

Make sure to take a valid ID with you. Also, you will definitely need your laptop, mouse, phone, headphones, chargers and any hardware you need for your project. You can also bring your monitor if you want.
P.S. Don't forget to smile!
